Journalism ninjas?
If my journalism learnings fail to get me a job in the ever-changing industry, I’ll just be a ninja. Or, you know, I could always get a job as a waitress and freelance on the side.
(Yes, that’s really me over there.)
After five years of transferring and changing majors, I’m SO ready to get out of here, but I’m still a little anxious. But I plan to channel that anxiety into mad skills. Mad journalism skills. I have to become more of an asset. The more I can learn, the more likely I’ll be needed.
This means learning Flash, how to shoot and edit video, how to make a podcast, and probably several other things I didn’t realize were important. But I have a whole semester left, right? It’s good that I can edit and write and design, but it’s really not enough.
And that’s where the hustle and desire comes in…
