My first domain!
I’ve been getting e-mails from the Portfolio Center telling me to hurry up and complete my business card application. On it is a space for you to put your website. Well, I don’t want to be sending people CDs forever, so I decided to fill in that blank.
Today I took the plunge and bought my own domain name. Don’t laugh, because my options were pretty slim. It’s heysarafaye.com. I wanted my real name, but it was taken by some attorney in Hawaii. Besides, this is kind of quirky, and it still has my real name in it, so it’s win-win, right? Right now, it basically is nothing, with some GoDaddy crap on it (that’s where I bought the domain. Danica Patrick! woo!).
What do you guys think? Was that a great idea, or one of the worst ever? Leave me some comments.
Anyway, now that I have my domain, I have to figure out how I want to build my site. That should be easy after a few more weeks incubating in online journalism…
